GamingAngels.com is an online community for women who love to talk about all things geek. This includes video gaming, role-playing, anime and manga, tabletop gaming, technology, gadgets, social gaming, comics and novels. We host podcasts and gaming nights on Xbox Live and PSN. We also cover various conventions and events throughout the year.

GamingAngels.com was created to fill a void in the world of gaming journalism. Until recently, a female perspective on video games was missing. Editors at popular gaming magazines expressed hesitance with hiring females due to the amount of mail they would receive regarding her submissions. GamingAngels counters this by boasting a completely female writing staff covering a wide-range of topics.

We work hard to encourage young women, the core of our audience, to consider a career in the gaming industry. GamingAngels supports further education by notifying our readers of scholarships, giving away a scholarship to National Computer Camp and launching a mentorship program. We also speak at colleges and high schools about our experiences in tech careers to encourage young women to go into technology as a career.

GamingAngels is a family friendly website. We work with parenting sites to provide correct information so they have a better understanding of what games are appropriate for their family. We advocate positive female role models in gaming through our Women in Gaming interviews.

GamingAngels.com has grown tremendously since we launched in 2005. We have become the number one female run gaming community. We look forward to launching the first Women’s Media Network for female geeks and continuing to make change in our communities.
